Michael Daly is a Geneva-based specialist in international trade and tax policies. He is currently an external adviser concerning trade taxes to the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department in connection with its technical assistance. He is also an external adviser to the Asian Development Bank and several WTO Members undergoing Trade Policy Reviews. Previously, he was: Chief of the Asia-Pacific Section in the Trade Policies Review Division at the WTO, with responsibility for periodic Reviews of Members in the Asia-Pacific Region; Principal Economist in the OECD’s Economics Department; Adviser and Secretary to the Ruding Committee (on Company Taxation) at the European Commission; Chief of Tax Measures in the Tax Policy Branch of the Canadian Government’s Department of Finance; and Senior Economist at the Economic Council of Canada.

A light lunch will be provided between 1.10 - 1.25pm.
